Fleeting

About

Fleeting is a series of short animation studies exploring images in a state of becoming. Landscapes shift, portraits drift, and forms briefly find their shape before slipping into something else. Image, motion, and sound come together in moments that never quite settle.

Approach

The experiment was as much about authorship as it was about A.I. How far could I bring these tools into the process while maintaining a consistent visual point of view? Using personal renders to establish the mood, I generated hundreds of images in Midjourney, looking for a shared language of light, texture, and composition. Much of the creative direction happened through selection. Recognizing which images belonged together, which held potential, and which to leave behind.

Runway became a way to explore what happened when those still frames began to move. The unexpected shifts helped guide the piece, while sound elements from Splice shaped its atmosphere and pacing. All of the image generation and some of the sound generation used A.I. tools, with the final sound and edit shaped and polished by hand. That human touch brought the studies into focus, giving the piece its rhythm, emotional continuity, and final form.
